Liquid Zeolite - Is it a Scam ?

liquid zeoliteAs I mentioned on the home page of TheLiquidZeoliteBook.com, you probably won't be surprised that I own a website called The Liquid Zeolite Book when you know that I used to sell the Network Marketing brand of liquid zeolite product. In fact I didn't just sell it, I was evangelical about it.

waiora liquid zeolite scamThen one day I saw a  test on the internet that was done on my beloved Multi Level Marketing (MLM) brand of liquid zeolite (Waiora NCD). The test showed that there was a lot less clinoptilolite (in the bottle they tested) than was even showing on the bottle's label.  There was only 27 milligrams in a bottle that claimed to have 2400 mg.

Talk about a shock!!

That's when I started really looking into the OTHER claims about the Natural Cellular Defense product that I really believed to see how they held up. Here is what I found…

  • Claim #1- Waiora claims that they have a special cleaning process that magically makes their Natural Cellular Defense (NCD) liquid zeolite more effective.
FALSE: They may clean it in a way that other companies do not, but cleaning itself is no secret. Legitimate zeolite companies clean their zeolite and a few do not. Zeolite absolutely does need to be cleaned. This is because when it comes from the mine, it has been out in the environment where it is exposed to the same heavy metals and toxins as we are.  The zeolite picks up those toxins. HOWEVER, the method for cleaning it is not a big secret that only one company knows. Cleaning the clinoptilolite is a relatively simple cation exchange, where the metals and toxins in the zeolite cage are swapped out for safe ions. I apologize if that is too technical. The bottom line is, there are other companies that can, and do, clean their zeolite. while this company may be the only company that uses acid.  Are you getting clean zeolite?
I talk about that in The Liquid Zeolite Book- It's Not What You Think which you can get free at the end of this page.
  • Claim #2- Because of the magical cleaning process mentioned in Claim #1,  the MLM brand (Waiora) liquid zeolite can now pick up much more toxins.
FALSE: Now this is a big stretch once I realized that there are 5000mg of zeolite in ONE SERVING of cleaned, micronized zeolite powder. Compare that to the 24 mg that are claimed to be in one serving of the network marketing brand liquid. When I did the math I realized that there is 208 times more zeolite in an average serving of powder. Even if the liquid had whistle clean cages, there is no way I can think of that 24 mg of zeolite can pick up more than 5000 mg.
  • Claim #3- The zeolite in the original liquid zeolite bottle is micronized small enough to get into the blood stream, and no other product on the market does this.
FALSE: Several companies have micronized zeolite. In fact, I've been told about a German company that has a patent where they describe the zeolite particles being micronized to 5 microns or less. Even the Magical MLM liquid doesn't claim that their clinoptilolite is all less than 5 microns! And no matter WHAT they do claim, no one has ever seen a document proving it. Let's put the lab test where the talk is… I happen to know that there is another zeolite powder company that has cleaned, micronized zeolite, and they are right in the United States, and I've seen the micronization report. I talk about that in The Liquid Zeolite Book- It's Not What You Think which you can get free at the end of this page.
  • Claim #4- There have been 14 independent scientific clinical trials done on this particular Network Marketing Brand Liquid Zeolite. They are all in a line up waiting to be published.
FALSE: Finally after YEARS of promises one little study was published. In a respected medical journal?? Oh no…. It was published online to Dove Press. An open source, online only journal. But the study was independent right? NOPE… Rik Deitsch is currently the consultant for the company that owns the distribution rights to the product, and James Flowers is his cousin by marriage. They were also manufacturing the product for the MLM company at the time that the study was "published".
  • Claim #5- They have a product that meets all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) … Well maybe… From WikipediaGMPs are guidance that outline the aspects of production and testing that can impact the quality of a product.- One would think that would mean quality control types of things like amount of ingredients in the product, whether the product clumps, turns color or has an odor, and yet these are all problems that the company has had with their product, and it seems that those all fall under the umbrella of "quality".

Finally someone sent me a cannister of the zeolite powder to try, and when I actually saw for my own eyes what 2400 mg of zeolite looks like (2400 mg is what is supposed to be in an entire bottle of the MLM brand of liquid zeolite) I was very surprised. Waiora's Natural Cellular Defense zeolite product looked clear.

Liquid zeolite is powdered micronized zeolite suspended in water. So if you were to take the same amount of zeolite powder, and mix it with 15 mls of water you should get a concoction that looks somewhat similar right? I want to make it easy to measure so I am going to use 400 mg LESS than it says on the bottle of liquid.
