I want to take a moment to examine any evidence that there may be to support this notion. 

What is Zeolite?

There are lots of places you can read about what zeolite is, so here is a quick overview. 

Zeolite is a hard mineral usually found around the sites of ancient volcanic eruptions. When molten lava hits sea water, that lava, along with ash and whatever happens to be in the environment at the time, quickly cools and crystallizes. What makes the zeolite crystals unique in nature is that it has a net magnetic charge of negative (-) 2. 

Since most heavy metals have a charge opposite the zeolite, they attract and bond to each other. 

That is why we can claim that zeolite attracts heavy metals and toxins.

Does Zeolite Cure Cancer?

I often get asked if zeolite is good to take for some disease or if it cures something. Most often, people want to know if zeolite really cures cancer. That is because there are so many people claiming it does. Is there any scientific basis for this?

Most of the cancer claims seem to come from a single study done in 2001 using zeolite in dogs. (read the Zeolite Cancer Cure study) Here is the conclusion from that study.

Abstract

Natural silicate materials, including zeolite clinoptilolite, have been shown to exhibit diverse biological activities and have been used successfully as a vaccine adjuvant and for the treatment of diarrhea. We report a novel use of finely ground clinoptilolite as a potential adjuvant in anticancer therapy. Clinoptilolite treatment of mice and dogs suffering from a variety of tumor types led to improvement in the overall health status, prolongation of life-span, and decrease in tumors size. Local application of clinoptilolite to skin cancers of dogs effectively reduced tumor formation and growth. In addition, toxicology studies on mice and rats demonstrated that the treatment does not have negative effects. In vitro tissue culture studies showed that finely ground clinoptilolite inhibits protein kinase B (c-Akt), induces expression of p21WAF1/CIP1 and p27KIP1 tumor suppressor proteins, and blocks cell growth in several cancer cell lines. These data indicate that clinoptilolite treatment might affect cancer growth by attenuating survival signals and inducing tumor suppressor genes in treated cells.

So basically the study claims that zeolite does indeed reduce the size of tumors and causes the expression of a compound that kills the cancer cells. Please note that the study says "Local application of clinoptilolite to skin cancers" … This means that they put the zeolite directly on the tumor. This zeolite was not taken internally like most of the zeolite supplements on the market are.

A quick glance on PubMed website shows only a few studies regarding clinoptilolite zeolite and cancer. Of the 13 listed, only a handful are actual studies regarding zeolite and cancer, and none of them are in humans. 

On the internet you will see the following study:

 Zeolite works exceptionally well at fighting cancer during an informal 14 month study several years ago showed. Every person in the study basically answered an ad in a newspaper that said,
  "If your doctor has given up on you, call us."
  So they were mostly people who had end-stage cancer, whose doctors had sent them home to get their affairs in order.
  65 people with mostly stage 4 cancer, who had a prognosis of about 2 months to live, were given a type of liquid zeolite. At the end of the study, 51 people were cancer free and six more were alive, but still fighting cancer. This is a 78% cure rate for terminal cancer, an incredible 89% survival rate.

This study was faked. Apparently Rik Deitsch from Waiora started to tell people about this study supposedly carried out by Lifelink Pharmaceuticals, but when Micah Portney contacted the owner of Lifelink Pharmaceuticals he said that they did not do any such study.

So wherever the original rumor originated, it never happened.

So where does that leave us in the Zeolite Cancer debate?

The Zeolite Cancer issue has received so much press on the internet that even the famed Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center has a write up about zeolite. In it they mention that if zeolite is inhaled it can actually cause cancer, and verifies that there is no evidence, in human studies, that cancer can be cured using this mineral.

There are still hundreds of testimonials from people who have taken zeolite and had a reduction in their tumor growth. Some people claim their cancer disappeared completely. There are a few studies that show that Since zeolite has no side effects to speak of, if I were diagnosed with cancer I would give it a try. 

I would not, however, waste the time and money I have left on the "liquid" versions of the zeolite. The liquid zeolite products on the market have tiny amounts of zeolite mixed in water. If I was very ill, and wanted to try something, I would want a more effective dosage.  In the studies mentioned above, zeolite powder was used in a dosage of 5000 mg.

We have to be careful when reading claims on the internet. Zeolite is claimed as a wonder supplement, able to cure even herpes. There are many people claiming they know people who had herpes and took zeolite for a complete cure. So would zeolite really cure this terrible affliction? 

Herpes is a virus. Currently there is no cure for it. Doctors prescribe strong antiviral drugs for it, and they often can help the virus go dormant faster but they do not eradicate the virus from the body completely so you are at the mercy of your immune system, wondering when your disease will strike again. 

Zeolite removes heavy metals and toxins from your body. It is claimed that zeolite can help regulate your blood pH to a more healthy alkaline state. This in turn can give your immune system a needed boost and help bring the body back to a healthy state.

Zeolite also is rumored to act as an anti-viral agent, trapping virus particles in the cage like structure of the zeolite molecule.

So while some people do see results when they use zeolite, zeolite does not actually cure herpes. It can help create an environment within the body that promotes health and healing.

If you have herpes, and do decide to buy zeolite, do not waste your money on liquid zeolite products. There is not a zeolite liquid on the market that has enough zeolite in it to do most people any good. Chelation Side Effects

Because zeolite removes heavy metals and toxins, people wonder if the side effects are the same as typical chelation agents. Chelation drugs that are prescribed by your doctor  have a number of known risks. The most common side effects are as a result of losing calcium, iron and other essential minerals. This is because chelating agents such as EDTA can not differentiate between the heavy metals that you are trying to get rid of, and the minerals your body needs to survive. 

Does Zeolite Remove Iron?

Zeolite does not remove iron. In fact , in several animal studies where zeolite was given in feed, the animals who took zeolite actually had an increase in their iron levels. 

In this study, giving zeolite to sows actually increase the  nutritional status as seen in the excerpt below. 

The study was conducted to evaluate, under field conditions, the effect of the long-term dietary use of a natural zeolite (clinoptilolite, CLI) and antibacterials (chlortetracycline, CTC) on the concentrations of certain vitamins (vitamin A and vitamin E) and minerals potassium, sodium, phosphorous, calcium, magnesium, copper and zinc (K, Na, P, Ca, Mg, Cu and Zn) in blood and body tissues of the sow.

The important difference then, between zeolite and traditional chelating drugs like EDTA, is that EDTA removes some of the minerals that you need while it removes heavy metals, and zeolite actually increases the nutritional status of the person taking it. 

So What Are The Zeolite Side Effects?

This was a bit of a long way around describing that zeolite does not in fact have side effects that relate to removing things it should not remove. So does zeolite have side effects, and if so, what are they?

The only known side effect of zeolite that seems to have presented itself so far is a potential for dehydration. Zeolite does not just remove mercury and other metals. It also soaks up water. This means that when you take zeolite powder it is going to absorb some of the fluid in your intestines and blood. You need to drink extra water in order to balance the effects of the zeolite. 

Some of the signs and symptoms of dehydration are:

• constipation
• dry mouth
• vertigo and/or dizziness especially when standing from a sitting or lying position
• tiredness
• mild headaches

The solution is simple. Drink more water when you take zeolite. 

Other that that, we are not aware of any other side effects when taking zeolite.

It is difficult though, when all you have to go by is what is written on the internet. many companies hire P.R. staff, or have them on hand, to embellish the descriptions of their products, so of course every product sounds like "the best" product. 

I have received many emails about the ACZ Nano product, and thought I would take a moment to look at the claims. 

First up, ACZ Nano zeolite product claims to be an improved extra strength formula. Still the maximum amount of zeolite per dose is 1 mg per spray, equalling 5 mg per dose. This is a tiny amount of zeolite. When you compare that to Zetox liquid zeolite suspension, which has 100 mg per dose, the winner from a dosage perspective is clear. 

Does ACZ Nano Remove Fluorine and Chlorine?

ACZ Nano claims:

Now Removes Fluorine and Chlorine
ACZ nano® Extra Strength is the only detoxification product formulated to remove fluorine and chlorine, two of the strongest oxidizing agents known and found in most drinking water.

Is this possible?

The ionic charge of Fluorine and chlorine is  -1 (negative one). Zeolite has a charge of -2 (negative 2). It is scientifically impossible for any clinoptilolite to attract and remove fluorine and chlorine. These molecules, following the laws of physics, will repel one another in the same way that a magnet held up to another magnet will push away. It is not possible for two molecules with a negative charge to attract. 

Now here is the problem I have with this assertation. When a company lies about a property of their product, ALL of their claims are suspect. 

As you can see by the ACZ Nano Ingredients label, there is nothing in their product except zeolite and water. Since clinoptilolite has a net negative charge, and so do members of the haline family like fluorine and chlorine, it is scientifically impossible for acz nano to remove chlorine and fluorine from the body.

Is ACZ Nano a Better Zeolite Product?

On the RNA Results website, there are numerous tests posted showing excretion of heavy metals. It would certainly appear that This product works at least as well as any other zeolite product. There is a little problem with the tests however. The tests are all done using 3X or 4X the recommended dosage on the bottle (15-20 sprays used versus 5 sprays recommended). Also, and more concerning is that they also use a second product during the tests. It would appear from their testing that, by itself, the ACZ Nano product is inferior as a chelation agent. Otherwise they wouldn't need to use 2 products in their testing. 

There are many other claims on the website for ACZ Nano. With these outstanding issues, it is difficult to lend credibility to any of it.  I recommend that we avoid this product. Where there is one issue, there are bound to be more. I don't feel it is worth gambling with my health.

Many people are looking for information on a product called "Zeolite Enhanced with DHQ". The likely reason is that they have come across a report called "Strategies to Kill Cancer".

There are a couple of things you may want to note about this "report".

• The report is not signed by anyone- Any legitimate person who has something to say will add a signature to the bottom of any "report". In this case, the report is written by Robert Harrison (a.k.a. pen name- Robert Sopias). He has no medical background. Of course this is not necessarily a red flag. Many people have done a tremendous amount of research, and could be said to have some expertise in an area. However, one must ask… why is he hiding his identity on this 'report'?
• The owner of the domain name (internet web address) is hidden- On the internet, you can look up who has ownership of websites, unless the owner pays to hide the information. That information for this website is hidden from the public. Legitimate people do not hide.
• The report urges you to buy many products- Whenever an unsigned report urges you to buy products, you need to question the validity of the report. In this case, Mr Harrison's testimonials often say that his customers are using 20 products or more!! This results in people spending many thousands of dollars EVERY SINGLE MONTH!! 
• The tests discusssed are meaningless- In one place in this report it says "Zeolite Enhanced with DHQ is 11,600 when BLA, PlugX and MC² are also used". Do you understand what is happening here? First, the number is meaningless. 11,600 WHAT? What units? What does this number represent? I once had an opportunity to speak to this man. He "tests" his product by holding a pendulum over the product and asking it questions! ACKKKKK!!! This entire report is designed to get you to spend money… why milk you of cash for one product when he can sell many!! 

What is Zeolite Enhanced With DHQ?

DHQ- stands for Dihydroquercetin. It is a particular type of anti-oxidant called a flavinoid. It has shown some anti-tumor action, but no more so than many flavinoids, and certainly FAR LESS than some! It does not "enhance" the action of the zeolite in any way. It is simply an additive. 

The zeolite found in the product called Zeolite Enhanced with DHQ is very minimal. In other words there is very little zeolite in "zeolite Enhanced with DHQ", and there is actually very little DHQ. It is mostly made up of humic acid in water. You know that familiar saying… "What goes around, comes around" 

Indeed that certainly seems to be the case here. 

NCD Wellness, so I have heard, will be launching as a new MLM company with one of James (Jim) Flowers products. They have some familiar names promoting it too. Let us look at the name first.

As many of us know, NCD has been used as an acronym for Natural Cellular Defense. Natural Cellular Defense is the name of Waiora’s  WATER and zeolite product. Waiora, in a predictable lack of foresight, failed to trademark the name NCD. (not very smart huh?) So now, another company is launching with a similar product, in direct competition, with a name that some people associate with Waiora’s product. 

Will Waiora Sue NCD Wellness?

Will Waiora sue? Maybe, but since they don’t own the trademark for NCD, only Natural Cellular Defense, they may or may not win. 

Once again, Waiora has failed to protect their own income, and their distributors income. I guarantee you that within a few months the marketers of this new company will own Google for NCD related search terms. 

Using NCD in the company name is actually pretty smart, since Waiora has already done such a great job making the term familiar. Talk about causing a little brand confusion!  I smell a good marketer here.  

Who Else is Involved in NCD Wellness?

Ah yes, a little google search shows that Troy Shanks is promoting NCD Wellness. troyshanks.com/ncd-wellness Troy and Matt Geottsche have been working together on the ZeoPure project. (another zeolite product by James Flowers). 

Both Matt and Troy were Waiora distributors. Both of them are brilliant internet marketers, and Matt at least has a good mind for systems. He was the brain behind the NCD Riches system that was a feeder for Waiora. The beauty of the name for the new company is that Matt will be able to use a lot of his old material… a lot of that material is already optimized and ready to go.

There is the issue of competition. Isn’t Troy competing with his own Zeopure business?

Matt was terminated from Waiora, I believe when he was promoting ZUS. What was ZUS you ask? Another MLM attempt with another zeolite product manufactured by (you guessed it) Jim Flowers. Dave Jordan was also involved with ZUS. Who is Dave Jordan? Dave was a Diamond with Waiora, who was terminated too (for no reason?) and was going to be a founding distributor for ZUS. Last I heard Dave was working as top distributor for "Live Smart 360". 360 used to be cyberwize and is owned by Mark McCool. 360 have a product called "zeo smart".  http://www.360zeosmart.com/

This time last year Jim Flowers was happily tweeting about bringing a new zeolite product to a company in Florida. https://twitter.com/zeoliteexperts That was Zeosmart. 

I have also heard a rumor that the owner of NCD Wellness is James Watson who was also the owner of (the failed before it ever got out of the gate) ZUS. Don’t quote me on that… I haven’t got verification of it yet. :- ) 

What about James (Jim) Flowers? Jim was the real manufacturer of Waiora’s NCD (Natural Cellular Defense). See Waiora contracted Rik Deitsch to produce the product, and Rik had Jim actually make it. Jim is Rik Deitsch’s cousin by marriage. Waiora tried to lock down Jim Flowers, hopefully to prevent him from selling competition products all over the place, but in the end they couldn’t. Why? Because Waiora’s contract is (was?) with Rik Deitsch. And Waiora doesn’t OWN anything. No patents. No "proprietary" formula. Why? Because James Flowers was manufacturing the product. HE is the one who did the processing for Waiora’s product. 

Waiora has a new manufacturer  and (despite the owners saying otherwise) the NCD (Natural Cellular Defense) product is different than it used to be. Now, we already know that tests done  on Waiora’s product showed 1/100th of the zeolite, in the bottle tested, than the label listed when Rik Deitsch and James Flowers were manufacturing the product. Rik claims he told the new manufacturer how to make the product, but it is definitely a lot different than it was. Maybe Rik never knew how Jim did it?

The next logical question is… Does Rik Deitsch have a hand in the NCD Wellness product or any of the other zeolite products that Jim Flowers put out? They are cousins, and they have business ties. That would be something Waiora would want to check out I would think. Well I digress, but that certainly would be interesting to look into. (stay tuned… :- ) 

NCD Wellness. on their marketing website, claim to have sold 5 million bottles of product! Are they counting Waiora’s 3.5 million bottles plus whatever Matt and Troy have sold of zeopure? 

Add to all of this that the new company, NCD Wellness, is going to be using a matrix style compensation plan. In the history of MLM there has only ever been one company with a matrix pay plan that survived. 

So let us recap:

• NCD Wellness is using the acronym for Natural Cellular Defense, opening themselves up right away for a potential lawsuit.
• James Watson (owner of the failed MLM ZUS) is rumored to be the owner of  NCD Wellness
• Troy Shanks is starting his marketing for NCD Wellness. Troy has been partners with Matt Goetsch in marketing Zeopure. (another product manufactured by Jim Flowers) Matt and Troy are internet marketers, and are in a position to corner the NCD keywords in the major search engines. (I think Matt and Troy should ditch everyone and come work with me. We would rule the world!! :- ) 
• Jim Flowers manufactured zeolite products for Waiora, Live Smart 360 and Zus, plus Zeopure and who the heck knows what else. 
• NCD Wellness has a matrix pay plan.

So I’ve had a great afternoon catching up with some folks that I haven’t spoken to in a while. and a couple of corrections to my story. 

Matt gave me a ring today. It was super to hear about what he has been up to this last while.  He was kind enough to fill me in on the bits I didn’t know about this new company! He was also kind enough not to give me a hard time about spelling his name wrong! /:- )

He did inform me that he isn’t actually promoting NCD Wellness as a distributor, or owner. He has been hired for his ‘systems’ specialty. (Lucky them… ) As I mentioned, Matt is brilliant with systems, and I have no doubt that hiring him to run the back end was a good move. 

James Watson of ZUS fame is not involved. That rumor turned out to be just that… a rumor. (I am so glad I called it :- ) 

I had a chance to chat with Troy a bit too. 

I am going to have a lot of fun watching the NCD Wellness company take over all the ‘NCD’ search terms in Google.
